February News Activities Dress Code - The term Club Casual means a nice collared shirt and dress slacks. No Jeans except for a themed event such as Western, Hawaiian, Cowboy, etc. Shirts should not have advertising on them. Meeting Cocktails from 5:30-6:30, dinner 6:30-7:30. Cook Outs Trivia Dances Dance lessons are available to members only each Thursday evening at 7PM for $50 per person. Taught by famed instructor Debi Dillow, these classes will be beginning again soon. Please contact Charles Godwin for more information. To My Fellow Brave Members of the Ortega River Club
Have you and/or your spouse always wanted to lean to Dance ?
Here is your opportunity to learn from a professional with your friends !
The Ortega River Club is proud to announce that it is conducting
Beginning Dance Classes for our members and
their guest scheduled to begin @ approx: 7 pm on the ORC Dance Floor This is a six week class of instruction for a total cost of $ 50.00 per person.
Bar open at 5 pm so, there will be plenty of time to absorb your individual quantities of courage
Our Instructor, Debbie Dillow, is open to teach a variety of Dances.
Collectively as a group, we need to decide what type we want:
· West Coast Swing / East Coast Swing
· Night Club II (Mixture of Waltz, Rumba, 2 Step and Other)
· Shag / Beach Bop - Salsa Meringue / Latin - Line /Two Step / etc.
We can start off with One Hour or Two Hour classes; we can move the time up and start a little earlier if preferred. There must enough students in each class, to justify the time
This is OUR Dance Classes & Debbie will work with all of us to give us what we want.
So here is your chance to do what you have been putting off for years,
but always wanted to do. Learn how to Dance, just bring your shoes.

One last big event coming up...New Years Eve! If you don't yet have your tickets, call Regina. They are only $35 each and are going fast. We are all looking forward to Karel Moerings as our President next year, let's band together to make his job as easy as possible! |

We have a busy Fall planned with Friday Open Grill nights, the President's Ball and Dinner, and Brand New Football Sundays. This fall, the Club will be open on Sunday afternoons when the Jaguars have away games; times are: 12:30 until the games are over. We ask that those coming bring snacks or an appetizer to share. Presidents Ball and Annual dinner is Formal attire and will be held on October 15th We will have two dances in November and two in December with New Years Eve being the second dance. Tickets for the New Years Eve dance will be $35.00. |
